As Sophie wandered aimlessly in this strange existence, a distant explosion was heard. It seemed to be the only source of hope in this eerie world. Without much thought, Sophie decided to head towards it, searching for answers or at least a guiding sign that would lead her out of this dark corner of the world.

As Sophie continued her journey towards the source of the explosion, she was ambushed by a group of vicious dogs. They spoke in human-like voices, and their threats revealed dark aspects of this strange world. With great effort and difficulty, Sophie managed to escape them, and after an arduous effort, she found a hiding place. There, she discovered a strange liquid spilled on the ground, resembling gasoline. Quickly, she smeared it on her body to mask her scent from the dogs, believing it was the best way to evade them. When the vicious dogs finally retreated, this is what happened after their desperate attempts to locate her.

Sophie continued her adventure towards the source of the mysterious explosion. When she arrived there, she discovered something unbelievable. It was a massive and peculiar-looking device, emitting shimmering colors and dim lights. As she stood there, contemplating the mysterious contraption, she was suddenly attacked by a giant snake. In Sophie's mind, countless questions swirled. Who was this woman? Where were they? How had she ended up here? However, the primary issue was the language barrier. But before Sophie could organize her thoughts, the alien woman placed her hand on Sophie's head for a few moments, then began speaking in a language Sophie could fully understand. "I will explain everything to you... but you need some rest first."

Then, the alien woman and Sophie, both in a state of infinite bewilderment, headed towards an ancient cave nearby. Along the way, they introduced themselves to each other. Sophie learned that this woman was an extraterrestrial being who had been pulled through a gateway to this world, much like Sophie herself. Her name was Zelana.

When they reached the cave, Zelana asked Sophie to rest while she hunted for their meal. Sophie fell asleep and woke up an hour later to find that Zelana had prepared food over a fire. They ate and began talking amicably, exchanging ideas and cultures. It became evident that Zelana possessed extraordinary powers, such as manipulating wind and effortlessly kindling fire. She had an exceptionally strong physique and a powerful memory. She could speak any language she desired and was incredibly fast in her movements. Most notably, she could create a mental map to find anything she wanted, but the map did not lead back to her original world.

As they conversed, Sophie voiced the idea that had been brewing in her mind from the beginning. She told Zelana that she believed the large device near the dead snake was somehow responsible for their arrival in this world. Her friend agreed, mentioning that the previous explosion had occurred while she was attempting to repair it. They both smiled confidently and turned towards the massive device.

However, air began to run out of Zelana's lungs as she swam. While she was rapidly moving towards the light, she lost consciousness and drowned underwater. After some time had passed, Zelana woke up to find herself inside a massive hall surrounded by glass walls within the lake. She realized that this hall was the source of the previous light, as it contained huge columns emitting a bright glow.

The bad news was that she was tied to one of these columns, and the worst part was that there were many strange-looking beings in front of her, resembling the statues she had seen in the hall inside the mountain. Despite this dire situation, she did not give up. She remained calm and, without the others noticing her, began to sway and move her body seriously in an attempt to break free from these restraints. With tremendous effort and unwavering determination, she finally managed to tear apart these bonds and free herself from their tight grip.

Once Sophie expertly shattered the restraints without alerting the oblivious enemies who were observing her, she seized this rare opportunity to escape. Sophie kept her composure, allowing tranquility to dominate her heart and movements. She discreetly fastened a piece of the torn restraint around her wrist to avoid suspicion. Afterward, she patiently awaited the opportune moment when the enemies were engrossed in their conversations or occupied with other matters. Sophie began to move away from the spot where she was bound, gradually and gracefully, avoiding any attention-grabbing actions. She navigated cautiously, utilizing the rocky surroundings and massive columns to move between them. With skill, she manipulated the situation and remained inconspicuous until she successfully escaped the clutches of the enemies.

Upon fleeing this place and calmly inspecting the surroundings, she found no exit door but noticed that the walls were merely strands, not real glass as she had previously thought. Realizing that she could easily bypass them, she exited with her entire body, heading toward the water's surface. However, she recalled her friend Zilana and the reliance she placed on her to complete the mission. Sophie understood that she had to return, so she swam back toward the enigmatic and luminous chamber. What she didn't anticipate was the sudden appearance of a massive shark swimming swiftly toward her. She knew that the only solution was to swim rapidly toward the light source for her survival. With great difficulty, she managed to evade the shark, as it couldn't enter the chamber, but it remained circling around it and didn't depart.

As soon as she caught her breath, she realized that the strange creatures had become aware of her escape and were searching for her. She evaded them, taking advantage of the large rocks and columns with difficulty while pursuing her main goal. After an hour of searching, she found it placed on a massive table made of the same metal as the columns, with some objects resembling vessels on top. However, many guards were searching in that area, and she waited for their numbers to decrease. Suddenly, she heard a scream, and they all rushed toward it, except for one guard who remained next to the table as if guarding it.

She thought, "This is my chance," and silently moved from column to column, heading toward her goal without the guard noticing. But the last column was far from the table, and it was impossible for him not to see her as she approached slowly. An idea suddenly crossed her mind, and she decided to act on it immediately. Wherever she leaped, it was a somersaulting jump toward the table, and she collided with a small rock, reopening the previous wound in her hand, causing it to bleed. However, all of this went unnoticed by the guard. She raised her hand above the table, gripping the third part of the device, and when she pulled it, it made a noise. This noise alerted the guard, and she started running away from him, with him chasing her and calling for the others.

Their numbers increased, and she reached the wall of radiation. She jumped through it into the water, and that was the last point the guards could reach. Here, Sophie realized that they were trapped inside this chamber, unable to tolerate the water. As she began swimming toward the surface, she spotted the massive shark rapidly approaching her. The shark had been attracted by the blood dripping from her hand. At that moment, Sophie understood that the guards had headed toward the scream, made by one of them seeking their help to fend off the aggressive shark attempting to enter the chamber.

While she swam quickly toward the surface, she started running out of air. The shark was almost about to bite her, and in the pitch-dark water, a blue light appeared from above, rapidly approaching them. It split the shark in half and carried her upwards. During this, she lost consciousness completely.

After some time, Sophie woke up and saw her friend Zilana with a body covered in bruises and serious wounds. She realized that Zilana was the blue light that had saved her. She embraced her and burst into tears, asking, "Why did you enter the water? Why?" But Zilana replied with kindness and love, saying, "It's because you were taking too long to return, and I was worried about you." She reassured Sophie that her injuries would heal quickly after a full day of rest, and that's exactly what they did. Sophie treated her hand wound and stopped the bleeding. When the new day began, the two girls, different in many ways but united in their hearts, set off once again.

They reached the device, and Sophie placed each part in its proper place, but nothing happened. They embraced each other in tears of despair and frustration until they heard laughter that hinted at the embodiment of evil. Startled, the two friends waited for the appearance of the owner of that laughter, who seemed to be coming from behind the trees.

As Sophie contemplated his words, she discovered that there was a fourth missing piece of the device, which had prevented it from functioning correctly. She began to meticulously inspect the device, and suddenly, she noticed something strange in one of the parts.

Haounder didn't wait long to explain the situation. While Zilana held onto the three assembled parts, he mockingly said, "The reason the device isn't working is the activation key, which is now in my possession. I will force you to stay here."

He attacked Zilana with great anger, and she fiercely confronted him, engaging in a violent struggle. Zilana unleashed her powers to the fullest, using her abilities over fire and wind with great force. However, Haounder possessed the powers of darkness, which proved invincible. He resisted Zilana's attacks and struck back with force.

Watching the battle with concern, Sophie realized that Zilana couldn't defeat Haounder on her own. She cried out, "Let's escape!" Then, Sophie quickly fled toward a nearby river. She relied on the river as a means of escape and signaled for Zilana to follow.

Later on, she found herself trapped between the river's waters and Haounder. As Zilana whispered, "Let's fight together," Haounder attacked forcefully. But Sophie and Zilana erupted into a fierce physical battle against him.

With great determination and endurance, Zilana managed to restrain him and jumped into the water, where they both burned together. Haounder screamed in agony, cursing them. Zilana's body suffered the same fate as Haounder's, as she too was burning. However, this strong and confident girl, instead of screaming in pain, laughed the laugh of a victorious warrior. And that's exactly what they became.

After their powers were exhausted, Sophie jumped into the water, saving her friend and retrieving the small key from the evil being's pocket, which was the missing fourth part of the device.

Chapter Five: Friendship Stronger than Dimensions

After Zilana had rested and her wounds from the fierce battle with Haounder had been treated, they sat together to contemplate what should be done with the device and the key. They realized that they needed to activate the device after connecting the key to it.

As they did so, the device started to work peculiarly. It began vibrating despite its enormous size and emitted an annoying buzzing sound. Then, a mysterious door opened in the air before them. This door was a gateway to a new and unfamiliar world for them. They exchanged bewildered looks and questions.

In that last moment before being swallowed by the gateway, Zilana turned to her friend Sophie and said, "I wish I could return to my homeland too."

At that moment, Sophie realized that the device could only transport one person. She had no idea how Zilana had discovered this crucial detail about the device. Did she have prior knowledge of this type of space technology? No, she didn't. She hadn't even known about the missing parts of the device. Yes, she could understand any language she heard or read.

Zilana, the extraterrestrial being, smiled at her human friend with a sad smile. She fully understood what she was about to lose, but she was ready to sacrifice for her friend and for the important mission that had brought them together. Words couldn't express the farewell between them; they had become true friends in this strange adventure.

As the gateway slowly absorbed Sophie's body, Zilana felt her heart heavy with pain. Even though she would be alone once again in her distant space world, she carried in her heart a story of friendship and an unforgettable adventure.

As Sophie tried to open her eyes and found it difficult due to the sunlight directed toward her face, she said to herself, "I know this sun well," and she smiled.
